This congress series was initiated by the European Network of Excellence Metamorphose and is organized by the Virtual Institute for Artificial Electromagnetic Materials and Metamaterials (Metamorphose VI).

This series of events brings together and continues the traditions of the highly
successful series of International Conferences on Complex Media and
Metamaterials (Bianisotropics) and Rome International Workshops on
Metamaterials and Special Materials for Electromagnetic Applications and
Telecommunications. International Conferences on Complex Media and
Metamaterials had eleven editions, with the names “Chiral”, “Bi-isotropics”, or
“Bianisotropics”, reflecting the developments in the field of artificial
electromagnetic materials. The first three editions of the Congress were held in Rome (October 2007), in Pamplona (September 2008), and in London (September 2009).
